about

Run to You is a ballad depicting romantic Stockholm syndrome. It's a situation that will be familiar to many of us, in which you imprison your own heart, hoping that with time the person you are infatuated with will finally reciprocate those same feelings. It was written from the mindset of self doubt in a toxic relationship, yearning for and returning to it, but finally accepting that it will never be what you want it to be.

lyrics

I know it’s hard to let go
You’ve been hurt by many before
So you pull away
And i beg, i beg you to stay

But in the old days I’d run to you, I’d run to you
With a chance you’d feel it too, you’d feel it too

So much time i spent on you
(Oh what a shame)
Like i had something to prove
(Am I to blame?)
A sick fixation on intoxication
(That’s not what I’m about)
You’re my addiction and i need some fixin’
(It’s time to put you out)

But in the old days I’d run to you, I’d run to you
With a chance you’d feel it too, you’d feel it too

So much time i spent on you
Like I had something to prove
A sick fixation on intoxication

Well maybe you’ll be mine
I’ve been here all this time
It’s time to let you know
I gotta let you go

But in the old days I’d run to you, I’d run to you
With a chance you’d feel it too, you’d feel it too

I know it’s hard to let go

But in the old days I’d run to you, I’d run to you
With a chance you’d feel it too, you’d feel it too
But in the old days I’d run to you, I’d run to you
With a chance you’d feel it too, you’d feel it too
